A reinterpretation of an American classic featuring the original Puerto Rican flag. This sweater is made from long staple cotton yarns, and features an embroidered star on the flag. 

This Puerto Rican flag was designed in 1895 to promote the ideal of Puerto Rican independence from Spain. When Puerto Rico became an American territory, its symbolism was altered to distance the flag from its history, as the blue was changed to match more closely with the American flag.
